SELF-LOVE

Born to a drifter, I drifted ashore
Full of light but unable to soar 
Pumped full of insecurities and never wills
Following the heroes up the hills

I put all my passion, my trust, and my soul into my might 

Years went by unable to hold on, we ripped apart 

Filled with sadness, tears run down my face

FREE AS A BIRD

Trapped in my thoughts, I crave to be free as a caged bird 
I spread my wings, attempting to fly 
I hit the walls that surround me, and down I go 
I cave into the bonds you hold 
Desperate to feel the wind, fly through the clouds and meet my destiny, 
I try over and over. 
Only to fall back staring at the cell 
I am bound to Starring at the bars that tie me down, 
I realize I am holding the bond 
I relinquish the fight and fill my heart with the love it found 
And once again, I spread my wings, I lift, I fly, and down come the bars that surround
